Help me Pick a Hard drive

Well, I'm looking to add a hard drive to my system. Right now it has a 200gb Seagate SATA 7200.7 in it, and I want to add another drive. It will be used pretty much for storage, so I don't need to add a Raptor as I really need more space. I'm pretty pleased with my current Seagate drive. I don't really have time to wait for a hot deal on a large SATA drive since they're so rare. So here's the questions: first, suggestions on a drive? Like I said, I like the current Seagate I have, but am open to suggestions. Second, if I do get another Seagate drive, I'd probably order from ZipZoomFly since they seem to be the ebst at packaging and shipping drives. So here's the second question. They have a 200gb Seagate 7200.7 for $104 and a 250gb 7200.8 for $0.99 more. I've heard of some people having problems with the 7200.8 line, should I play it safe and get another 7200.7 or are the 7200.8's reliable enough? Hard to turn down an extra 50gb for $0.99. Anyway, thanks for the help in advance, hopefully I'll get some quick replies, I'd like to order the drive later today or tomorrow.

Go for that 250GB drive you mentioned, you won't regret it 🙂 Extra 50 gigs for a dollar isn't bad either, lol. Go for the 250GB.

Any other thoughts on the reliability of the 7200.8 line? Suggestions on maybe getting a drive from a different manufacturer?

Seagate just bought Maxtor, and while I have no problems with Maxtor, I would stay away. Who knows if the brand will still exist in 3 years or what kind of warranty Seagate will honor.

I would suggest this WD drive.

320GB
7200 RPM
16MB Cache
SATA 3.0GB/s
3-year warranty
$144.99
