I have to write a "booknote" for history. requirements are that the book must be 300pp+ and the topic had a significant impact on u.s. history.

anyone know of any good books? generally, I find biography boring as hell. I tried reading hitler's pope: zzzzzzzz......; then this one "bestselling" book about eisenhower and also didn't find it interesting enough to go past p15.

lol.."D-Day" was the book about eisenhower I found boring..just forgot the name until you mentioned it. actually, I never gave it much of a chance since I was only reading the intro...but if worse comes to worse, I'll go and try to read d-day again.

Upton Sinclair. Be warned: if you choose to read The Jungle, and you are a carnivore, you might change your mind. Some parts will turn your stomach. Excellent novel, though.
