Looking to build an array out of some 250gb SATA disks I just bought and i was wondering what is a good solid hardware raid controler to use in linux.

Price range between 100 and 200 dollars, hopefully. If you know of anything spectacular list it regardless of price.

I want to do Raid 5 and have the ability to have a hotspare and hotswap the drives.

LMK what you guys think

I"ve used 3ware w/ 8 ide drives w/ Linux and LSI scsi on Linux but no sata drives.
Make sure you don't get a software raid controller. How many ports are you looking for 4 or 8 ??
Also what mobo are you going to use, does it have a 64bit pci slot ??
