Help me pick a cell phone

I read howardforums, but there isn't really anything where I can browse all sorts of different phones.

What I need is something where I can say what features I want, and people say what phone I should get.

So that's where you folks come in.

Here's the features I want listed with most important closer to the top:

Showstoppers - I must have these features.
1. Internet Access, preferably GPRS, although if someone can convince me that a WAP phone is amazing, I'd entertain it. I want internet access that is so useful, I would seriously consider cancelling my cable modem service since I mostly just use it for web browsing.

2. PDA. Preferably Windows-based. PalmOS is OK if the other features are exceptional, but I'd love to more seamlessly integrate with my PC. Not much experience with Symbian but I like the way it sounds :)

Luxuries - I really want these features, but I could do without them:
3. Bluetooth

4. Qwerty keyboard. Not a showstopper but I'd most prefer to have one.

5. Color display.

Whatever - I have a preference, but it's not that important:

6. Preferred carriers - Cingular or T-Mobile since I'm on Cingular and my gf's on T-Mobile, but I have no emotional attachments to provider.

7. Small as possbile.

8. Cheap - of course cheaper is better, but I've never PAID for a cellphone in my life, so I wouldn't mind forking out for one that will last me for a few years.

9. Instant Messenger. Would be nice to have.

10. GPS. Why not?

11. Flip phone or not, doesn't really matter.

Stuff I DO NOT care about:
Cameras, MP3s, Television, Games, Ringtones, Wallpapers, Customizable face plates/covers, any other useless eyecandy or features which are better suited for a different, separate device.

Prospects so far:
T-Mobile Color Sidekick Pic (but how is the PDA functionality?)
Nokia 9290 Pic - I've always considered this to be the "gold standard" in what a phone should do, but it's lack of GPRS is starting to make it look a little outmoded.
Motorola MPX200 Pic - Don't know too much about it
Siemens S56 Pic Thanks, Rudeguy. Looks cool, but doesn't seem to offer much PDA functionality?
Samsung i500 Pics - Looks very promising. Thanks, Munchies!
Siemens SX56 Pic - Probably what Rudeguy was thinking of.
Sony Ericsson P900 Pic - Pretty nifty.

Thanks in advance for all input, help, flames, snide comments, love, beer, cookies and pics.

Have you actually HELD the Nokia in your hand? Thank thing is about as big and heavy as a 1/2 size brick...no exageration. One of the docs that I worked with had one and I thought it was cool until I saw it....freaking HUGE.

Anyway, samsung I-500 IMHO.

Though I love my Samsung S307 from cingular...freaking incredibly small.

MD.

Could it be SX 56? Siemens S56 is not a PDA.
Another one, but kind of expensive- Sony Ericsson P900.

samsung looks nice, but i think right now your priority should be to find a carrier and then pick a phone. i say this primarily because t-mobile is offering free tzones, and since you require gprs and a pda phone, i'm assuming that you will be doing a lot of surfing/emailing on your phone. going w/ free tzones will be your best bet IMO.

I agree. The Tmobile promo is VERY appealing. Another reason the CSK would be a good choice....if the PDA functionality was any good. Does anyone have any experience with it?

What of the Tmobile PPC edition?

I've heard others say this, too. It's probably out b/c there is so much better stuff now. They really should rework that thing. :D

Bedtime bump. Thanks for all the input thus far.

The Color Sidekick seems to be a tempting $65 after rebates for the rest of the year. It seems like it's perfect as far as web browsing goes, and it's GPRS. Does anyone have any opinions on the PDA functionality of it? I don't need anything groundbreaking- contacts, calendar, freehand notes/to-do list.

'night folks.

The Blackberry seems kinda clunky and I don't think it offers much web capability.

I the Kyocera looks nice and Genos is similar to Samsung SPH-i700 on the page new2AMD has linked. Both look kinda cool.

If anyone has any experiences with the Sidekick, or can direct me to some "real-world" reviews, let me know. That once seems to have the most robust web ability, and "good enough" PDA functions, based on the TechTV and PCMag reviews I read, but I'd like to hear from real people.
