Help me pick a card

Well, seeing as i'm having a hard time picking a card, i'll try to see what the general consensus is.

Current rig is a P4 3.0, 1GB ram, GF4 Ti4200 128MB.

Looking to get maybe 2 more years out of this machine before I feel the need of a major upgrade and trying to pick between the Geforce 6600GT Agp, or Geforce 6800NU Agp and I do moderate to major gamming as well.

The reason why Im considering the 6800nu is because 1, it is a better card, and 2, because of the moderate success ppl been having with unlocking the extra pipelines/vertex shader

*edit* better topic name

nice deal, but i probably should have mentioned that these prices are in canadian dollars, and not including shipping (ouch, 30 dollars for shipping, so about 330 and coversion is close to $400 cnd, which unforunatly is out of my range)

Ah okay, canadian. I was wondering why they were so expensive. Personally, I'd pick the 6800nu. Mine has been a great card for me and has allowed me to keep up with the top of the line cards in 12x10 with some AA / AF. Especially considering the fact that it's only a $40 CDN difference between the two, I think in your case, the NU would be your best buy.

whooooooaaa you can get a 6600gt for $185 buddy.

yeah, but get a 6800, unlock the pipelines, OC it, and you got a 6800gt. enjoy. and get leadtek if possible.

whooooooaaa you can't read can you buddy? Canadian Dollars.

What brands are each card? I'd probably go for the 6800 myself but if it's a crap brand then 6600GT.

mine gets hottter than usual, people say their 6800 tops out under load at 70. mine is idle at 68 usually. i need a new case or something

Well thanks for all the responses, looks like im going to go with the 6800nu, just wanted to see what other ppl thought as well. now just have to wait for tax return
