Help me pick a car for my dad

My dad wants an SUV. I argued with him to get a sedan or something else, but he doesnt want to. I am not a big fan of SUV's but I can live with one if its pretty nice. My dad is looking for these things in the SUV

- Good MPG (anything below 17 city is not acceptable)
- He wants plenty of cargo space in the back
- 3rd row seating
- Affordable price (no escalades or anything like that)
- No HUGE suv's like Excursion*, tahoe, suburban....

I really like the Acura MDX . It has everything my dad wants and looks great. Anyone have any negative things about it, please let me know. Also, other suggestions are appreciated.

Acura MDX or the Honda Pilot would be a good choose.

I love my Xterra but 17 city would only happen going down a steep hill.

An Explorer is NOT a huge suv, unlike what you have listed. You're thinking Expedition/Excursion.

And you don't have a lot of options when it comes to 3rd row seating in a mid-sized SUV around $30k.

another vote for the MDX looks SWEET, and its Acura. 🙂
 
if you're gonna get an mdx might as well just get an odyssey cuz thats what it is. just admit that you really want a minivan and get it over with.

We pretty much ruled out Nissan. Other than that I dont really know. Its hard to find a car to satisfy my dad since he wants all that he wants with a good price. List away!

That is very true. My dad was like, hell with SUV's il just get another minivan. But I dont want him to get a minivan, because I will be driving the car too 😛

ACtually, i just like the Grill. I'd get a normal yukon and try to get that grill aftermarket too.
