Help me pick a 65" 4K TV for my Dad: LG 65UH615A -or- Samsung 6290

I need to help my Dad pick a 65" 4K TV, preferably from Costco. (Yeah, I know they were on sale during Black Friday). How would you choose between LG and Saumsung? I've read that Samsung has better non-OLED TVs.

Costco has:

LG 65" 65UH615A for $967 (in store price)

Samsung 65"UN65KU 6590 FXZA for $990

Which has the better picture?

Which is more likely to last longer and have fewer problems?

Better and easier Smart TV interface and functionality?

The LG models use an RGBW pixel layout which will never give you a 1:1 4K image. Between those two, the Samsung will be better.

So, it seems like the Samsung is the way to go. One TV rating site I visited said it suffered from "judder" when playing movies. I'm certain what that is and it probably won't be noticed, but should that be a big concern?

at that price point flip a coin... or simply chose one based on which bezel/remote you like better
