Help me pick 64GB SSD

I've got my eye on 3 drives, and I need to pick one.

ADATA S599 64 GB. $112. Only drawback is that I've never heard of this company, so I don't know if product support is existent or any good.

Crucial C300 64 GB. $135. Only drawback is the slow writes. Will this be an issue? Sandforce based drives have much higher write speeds, but I don't know how this will impact real usage.

Samsung 470. $150 Cannot find any reviews.

Not sure why you'd have your eye on drives that you don't know the company and/or can't find reviews on. There are 1001 threads on here about "which SSD to choose".

Do you have a SATA 3 motherboard ? If so then I would pick the c300 of the 3 you mentioned above. I would stay away from any Samsung SSD's. Also, any of the Sandforce based SSD's (OCZ, GSkill, Mushkin, Corsair) are a good choice.

Well gee whiz, I thought I'd post here asking about ADATA becuase...hold onto your hat...there might be a few people here that had experience with them. Why was this so hard for you to understand?

I just have a SATA 2 unit. I'll take a look at the SF Corsairs. Thanks 🙂

You didn't actually ask any question(s) regarding ADATA. Your OP only has one actual question. It was the quintessential "make my decision for me" thread, of which you are now 1002 on these forums. I understood just fine.

Threadcrap elsewhere.

Thanks for posting this thread. I've now convinced myself to purchase several of those AData 64GB Sandforce-based SSDs as soon as I can afford them.
Nothing wrong with Adata, they make flash memory USB sticks and RAM, and now, SSDs. I would buy from them before I would buy OCZ, personally.

I think I'll go the A-Data route. It's hard to go wrong with $112. I'd probably grab the Micron unit if I had SATA 3...but you watch. Intel will release their 3rd gen SSD's a week after I buy this. 😀
