Compromise of 1849 was made by Senator Douglas from Illinois, and scraped the Missouri Compromise in favor of Popular Sovereignty for all territories, especially Kansas...

I was homeschooled, and my mom was able to get a bunch of DBQs off of collegeboard's website. I would suggest trying some of the old ones, just for practice, and then seeing if your teacher or some smart person would grade them for you.
