Okay, here are the specs:

Epox 8K5A2+
AMD AXP 1800+
512mb Corsair XMS DDR PC3000
Alpha 8045 w/ 80mm sunon fan
Alabatron GF4 Ti4200P Turbo

Help me overclock this sum'gun..

Currently she's at 11.5x148 @ 39*C...Went through 3dmark2001SE fine....10,3xx some odd 3dmarks....I know this thing has to be able to go higher...11.5x150 and 3d mark would lock on the 2nd high quality test....What gives? :(

Remove some of your PCI cards, maybe that is what is holding you back. Once you hit about a 150FSB (37.5MHz PCI), then some cards start to get a little sketchy. You might just be at the limit though. Overclocking is not guaranteed to be good or bad with any particular CPU. Not all silicon is created equal. Some CPUs have been manufactured better than other. You might not have got one that lives up to the potential of the average CPU. You must try and determine the bottleneck. Decrease the multiplier and raise the FSB to see if it's the motherboard. Lower the FSB and raise the multiplier to see if it is the CPU.

This processor isn't unlocked......Um.....I dont think?

I dont know :\

There are no PCI cards......Built in LAN and built in sound....I installed some new video drivers, that seemed to help out......core voltage is 1.85v in the bios.......DIMM voltage is +0.20v.....CAS2.5 on the ram w/ all the other settings as default controlled.....Gonna go play me some UT2k3 to see how she does....

your vid card is also running out of spec...that may be the problem, considering it crashes in 3dmark. I have had bad experiences that are similar cause by a rather low 5v rail, you may wanna check that out also.

1.92-1.97 v would be good for that cpu speed, (my xp 1600 didnt work at 150 fsb till i rised vcore up to 1.92v)

It may be you have reached the limit of your CPU. Many XP's did not overclock very well, only in the last little while with the AGOIA and AROIA stepping XP1600+'s and the new T-bred XP1700+ has REAL overclocking (as in like Intel) become possible. That being said, all the other suggestions given here are good and if they don't help look at unlocking your proc to lower the multiplier and increase the FSB so you can get better bandwidth even if you are still are the same speeds. If you look around you can find many people with 1800+'s or up and about the same overclocking results as you seem to have had. If nothing else you are not alone.

Thanks guys......

Just got out of about 1h game of UT2k3......Temp was around 43*C when i closed it........BTW, MBM5 shows my +5v rail to average 4.97v....So far so good now....Maybe it was my RAM timings? I'm gonna do some Prime95 tonight, and if that turns out okay, I'm going to bump the FSB some more :)

Attempt to hit 166fsb...you really don't want anything to run out of spec. There is too many different things that can be going wrong: your vid card can't handle that high of agp speeds, ide's causing corruption, and any other onboard devices could be going out....I doubt a 1800+ hitting 166fsb(might be bale to with high voltage) but that is the only way you're gonna get any higher than 150fsb, things were jsut not meant to run that high and you need the 1/5 divider to kick everything bad to spec..
