Does overclocking shorten the life span of a GPU? And will doing so gain all that much boost? Ive never overclocked before so im not sure what is actually happening.

I've overclocked all the GPU's I've ever owned to the max, and none of them died prematurely. Take from that what you will. In theory the lifespan will be shortened, but in practice you often won't notice since you replace your GPU after a couple of years anyway.

And yes, the performance benefits can definitely be tangible, though it ofcourse depends on the card in question.

Well lets see here, whats that word that comes after CPU in the forum title?

"What? The word and?"

No no, although that does lead me to my final destination.

"OHHHHH the word OVERCLOCKING?"

Why yes my good man, the word OVERCLOCKING which is what I am interested in.

"Ahhh now I see why when you asked the mods to move the thread out of the GPU and into the cpu AND OVERCLOCKING forum they did so no questions asked."

Well I am glad we could clear that up. See since I figured overclocking is about the same whether you do it on a CPU or a GPU and no one was answering my questions in the GPU thread I would try my luck here instead.

"Oh geez, Im sorry. I know it can be rather off putting when you party farters coming in and farting uo the place"

Quite, well thats all my good man, thank you for taking the time to understand.

"Think nothing of it, cheerio."
