I just put together a system using a AMD 3200+ Winchester 90nm, 1gb of Corsair Value Select, a 74gig SATA Raptor all attached to an ASUS AV8-Delux.

The build went perfect with no trouble at all.

I would like to overclock the processor, hopefully to 2.4 ghz and I know my Ram has no chance of making it even close. I can't figure out how, in the bios, to overclock the processor without overclocking the memory.

Could someone give me some pointers on memory timings (everything set to Auto right now).

Any advise or a link to a "how to" would be great.

Many thanks

There should be a option to set the memory at 166 if you don't want the memory to clock above 200mhz within a certain fsb range.

Then set the ht ratio to 4x or even 3x if you are going to go to higher than 270mhz fsb or so.

Then increase the fsb by 1-5mhz increases or so until it begins to get unstable. Then add alittle voltage to the cpu. Keep going until your happy or the temps start to run to high.

This should at least get you started.
