ok so i like filmmaking and i join into this filmmaking contest called Fresh-Films... 10 cities in the US had a week to made a movie and people vote for which is better... Well, the winner gets a trip to Hollywood for a screening of their movie and we all (about 10 people on each team) get G4 Powerbooks with final cut studio which is the best video editing software you can basically get...
Well i am part of the Nashville TN team and in the first round we beat Los Angeles with 96% of the votes (over 30,000 votes for nashville)... it was quite amazing that we beat the movie capital of the world and we are the music city...
Well anyway, now it is the finals with the top 5 winning teams up against eachother... Well, the fact is, the competition has become not who has the best movie, but who can vote the fastest.... basically, if your PC is fast and you can have like 50 tabs going in firefox and voting 1000 times an hour, you win...
So the first night of voting my team is winning and all of the sudden at 3 AM New York City starts voting like crazy and takes the lead and they are voting thousands and thousands of times a day.... This is very cheap and new york doesnt deserve to win...
We are in second and new york is voting so much that one night i stayed up all night and voted 5000 (yes 5000) fricking times and we didnt even move up one percent in the votes... They must have like 100,000 fvcking votes...
So basically, as fellow AnAndTechys, you understand how incredible getting a free G4 laptop would be and if you were a filmmaker you would know that Final cut studio is 1300 dollars and i could never offord that or the laptop...

There are radio buttons and Nashville is the one with the picture of the Arrow pointing up.... No need to put in your email....

Please as fellow computer people you understand wanting a PC but cant ever afford it... This will also help me out in life when applying to a film school... Please would it be that hard to give a fellow forum goer some help?
