Hello Everyone,

I just put together all the components of my first custom PC. I just did my first boot up and got the following:


Main Processor: Intel Pentium(R) 4 1.20GHz (100x12.0)
Memory Testing: 524288K OK
CPU Brand Name: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.4GHz
Hyper-Threading Technology CPU Detected (Hyper-Threading Technology Enabled)

(Dual Channel Mode Enabled)
Memory Frequency for DDR400 Specifications
Host/DRAM Frequency is 100/125 MHz
AGP.PCI Frequency is 66/33 MHz
Primary Master: WDC WD1200JB-00DUA3 75.12B75
Primary Slave: None
Secondary Master : DVD-ROM BDV316C VER .20R
Secondary Slave : LITE-ON LTR-52246S 6S04

CPU is unworkable or been changed. Please recheck - CPU SOFT MENU


What do I need to do? Is this a problem? Thanks!
 
i'm guessing that was from the POST screen ? enter the BIOS (probably the DEL key, but your motherboard manual will tell you for sure) and set the FrontSideBuss (FSB) to 133 . then find the line "Load Optimized Defaults". tell it YES and hopefully this will get you further along.
also you didn't say what the MB is . i could of looked it up and maybe helped more.
read the manual , all of it . it should have the basic setup info.also check out rojakpot.com for lots more settings to play with.
