Help me out with buying Speakers

I can buy these Axiom m50ti's for 460.00 Here

Or I can buy Wharfedale Zaldek 2000's these for 310.00.

The specs look very similar...

Are axiom's worth 150.00 more ?

I would personally get the axioms but I have never heard either. I really don't like horn speakers. To me it doesn't sound accurate. It almost sounds like if someone is talking with their hands clasped around their mouth to shout. If you like the sound of Klipsch, you will probably like the sound of the Warfedales. Either way the best bet is to listen to each before buying but it might be a little more difficult with axiom as they are internet sales

I can't really audition the axiom's because there's no dealer around here. I figured for 384 + 80.00 shipping I'd give them a shot and if not they said I could return them. The thing is I can get a really really good price on the wharfedale's, I wasn't that impressed when I demo'd them at compusa though.

Lots of people LOVE Axioms. I've never heard them either but I've considered getting a pair of their large floorstanders. Ascend also makes some really nice speakers. Wharfdale owners must not be very vocal, I don't see a lot of posts from them on any of the HT sites.

BTW, how are you getting the AXIOMS for $460?
