Isn't the OEM version supposed to be cheaper? The whole point being you forsake the HSF and longer warranty for a better price. What gives?

newegg is screwy like that. they do some strange stuff now and then. some say the prices adjust to how many people are buying them. most people buy oem so they can install there own hsf but your right it should be cheaper but its not always lol as you can see.

I saw that too for the warranty alone its worth buying retail but for other things such as Windows xp Pro oem and retail is alot.

The warranty is very short on OEMs, always go with the retail version unless the OEM is much cheaper.
