Help me out to OC my i7 920 CPU

Hello ,

I tried to understand overclocking but it seems somehow hard and it needs some risk to make it .. but for me .. i tried to overclock my CPU and RAM but i fail



so , i will post images of my BIOS .. hoping you tell me what to do until i have the knowledge Anyway here it is :

i want to overclock it to at least 4GHz

4.0Ghz is certainly attainable on the 920, but you will need a top of the line air cooler.

These are some numbers from my oc to 4.0Ghz on the 920, they may or may not work for you:

CPU Clock Ratio: 20
BCLK Freq: 200
QPI Link Speed: x36
LL CAL: enabled
QPI/VTT Voltage: 1.315
IOH Core: Auto
DRAM Voltage: 1.64
CPU PLL: 1.960

C.I.A.2 : Disabled
CPU Clock Drive: 800mv
PCI Express Clock Drive: 700mV

Uncore Freq x17 (3230Mhz)
Turbo Boost: Disabled
C1E: Disabled C3/C6/C7 disabled
CPU EIST: Disabled

These settings were stable for me at 4.0Ghz, however I should mention that eventually things became unstable, and more (I should say moar) voltage was needed for the Vcore to keep it from crashing.

-just saying leave the ram overclocking till you get the cpu overclock stable.
