I'm building a new computer and was wondering what you would buy if you had $800 to spend on a new computer. I want it to be a quality computer with good hardware. No software needed. I also know what case I'm going to get, it's the Antec fileserver soho case ( like the way it looks). I was considering thunderbirds because of it's feasible price range. I'll be using the computer 24/7 doing professional graphics. It'll also be on 24/7 if extra cooling is needed. Thanks.!

Here's my choices:

- MSI K7T Turbo
- Duron 800MHz @ 1GHz
- 512MB of Crucial PC133
- Maxtor 40GB u100 7200
- GeForce2 GTS (preferably the MSI one)

I have almost the same thing except I have a GeForce2 MX and I downgraded my ram to 256. :(

And fans are cheap so. I've got an Antec SX1030 with (4) 80mm case fans and a 7k RPM Delta. Plenty cool:)

I have Epox 8K7A... i love it... i've built a budget system for 600 bucks (Duron 800, back in Winter) and Durons are cheap and fast...

Check out Newegg.com.. cheap prices and good service. I suggest you put a lot of fans.. more the merrier...

so here is my pick
-Epox 8k7A or MSI K7 Master (pricey i think)
-Duron 800 (OC that baby)
-Crucial DDR (crucial.com/webpromo)
-ATA100 HD... IBM i prefer.. but all same it think
-professional graphics eh? well.. dont know much about professional graphic cards...
