Help me understand how what I have will work with the features of the IC7 and how best to set it up.
List of my equipment.
2.4B SL6RZ C1, 1 Gig. 3500 Hyperx, 9700Pro rev. 3, Audigy, Antec 480 True Power, 1 Maxtor ATA 133 120gig 8meg cache, 1 WD ATA 100 80gig 8meg cache,
My questions
NB staps and what to use with my mem to get the most of my ram and cpu. My Albatron Px845PEV Pro allows me to run my cpu stable @ 18x190=3420 and my ram @ 1:1 380 2,2,2,5. Anything higer is not stable. My ram seems happy @442 2.5,3,3,5 but limits my cpu overclocking. I have always suspected this MB was flakey because it will not run 3d apps. or games with with agp/pci feature locked to 66/33 even when running 100mhz fsb. I must select the divider manually in order to resolve this issue.
So maybe my agp/pci bus is holding me back while overclocking.
Also if I pickup 2 of the Sata ver. 2 adapters will I benefit from picking up another drive and setuping a raid 0 array. My Maxtor is ata 133 the WD is ata100, the WD benchs faster than the Maxtor.
I have a nic card but would not want it to limit my overclocking it is not used in my current system as it has a 3com built in. If the nic is going to limit should I get the IC7-G?
