Help me or I might do something stupid here. Geforce2 vs Radeon LE?

I just got my AXIA doing 1.4 GHz, and I'm thinking of ditching my Leadtek Geforce2 GTA since is is really holding me back now in benchmarks (specifically 3dmark2001). I'm really considering the RADEON LE since it's so cheap, but I want to know that if I overclock it to 183/183 that it would be able beat my Geforce2-GTS 32 in 3dmark2001. Am I making a mistake by downgrading from a GTS to a ATI Radeon LE? Help me, thanks.

Why are worried about 3dmark?

And going from a GTS to a Radeon is pointless unless you wanted to make $30 or so.

GTS is a bit faster but Radeon has better image quality.

the reason im worried is that i have this 'supposed' kick ass system, yet it cannot hang with the peepee4's under 3dmark2k1. i guess i shall wait out for a gts-ultra or kryo2.

i dont like the 3dmark 2001 scores, mine are low. or look low for my system yet all my games run flawless CS, tribes 2, black and white, ect. I think 3dmark2001 is geared more to future benches. cause the score dosent seem to relate to how computers handles games that are out now.

Yeah I agree, 3DMark2001 is not a reliable test. I'm running a Voodoo3 2000 on a Tbird 900 and I get relatively low scores on 3DMark2001 (around 1500), but my games run just fine. Just go by what plays your games the best and don't worry about what a benchmark says🙂

Yeah, but if you get an LE, you can rub it in that you have a super cheap 80 dollar video card that can wooop up on their expensive 200 dollar one! Hehe, thats what I do... I had a Hercules Prophet II GTS PRO 64MB, and just bought an LE. I'm selling the PRO on egay and should make about 200 dollars in the deal. My Quake FPS are only about 10 fps lower, and CS is uneffected (except for in fog). All in all, I don't miss the pro at all... the 2D makes up for the lost FPS.
