I've noticed many of the reviews/guides I've looked at used AMD cpu + DDR3 1333/1600.

Would you mind pointing me to some of those guides? I can't find a AM3 overclocking guide that doesn't involve a black edition processor (unlocked multiplier).

I've got a 620 (locked multiplier) and DDR3 RAM.....looking for a guide to help me overclock it.

Edit: Nevermind.....it took more digging than I expected, but here's a really good guide that discussed oc'ing a locked AM3 CPU with DDR3 memory. The bios used in this guide is the same one I have...so perfect for me:

what's your wall at?

I think it's right around the 3.2ghz area (with my X2 240). I have the HT multiplier set so it's around or slightly under 2ghz, RAM says at or below 400mhz (it HATES to be OCed, even though it's supposedly 1066 RAM), etc.

Another weird thing...ACC disables my CPU temperature readings. However, when on, I noticed my BIOS lets me change my multipliers and such. Otherwise, the option to do so is hidden (meaning I can only change the FSB).

Of course, this might also be because I'm using AMD Overdrive to OC. I wish my motherboard's BIOS didn't suck so much. :(

Not familiar with AMD, but can he actually just do 1:1 RAM divider and get it at 800mhz exact or maybe a bit lower. Because I guess were playing with muliplier and FSB ,, soo if you can tweak that to be 1:1 . Say 780mhz , just a guess...
