i just got my new rig setup and its been fine @ stock speeds....What I want is a 24/7 stable 3 ghz setup which seems doable with the components that I have :
E4300 w/ TT BigTyphoon
Gigabyte DS3 revision 2.0 F10 Bios
2 x 1 GB DDR 2 800mhz G.Skill 5-5-5-15
Corsair HX620W PSU
So according to my math I need 9 x 335 = 3015 mhz and Id be happy with that
Few questions I have
What Vcore should I use for this setting ?
In the bios The System Memory Multiplier SPD what should that be set @ ? It should be able to do 1:1 since my ram is 800mhz and ill be runing it @ like 670...What option do I choose in the bios for this ?
DDR2 Overvolt....Do I need to do this since my ram is rated @ 800mhz and I will be running it @ 670mhz so it shouldnt need more volts then stock which I believe is 1.9V right?
FSB Overvolt......Do I need to adjust this of so how much + 0.2V or +0.03V ?
(G)MCH Overvolt same as above
And the northbridge hsf is it good enough the way it is up to 400mhz fsb ?
Any other suggestions would be apprichiated!
