HELP ME! Motherboard/CPU question...

I just got myself a new Duron 700 and an ABIT KT7 as well as some new PC133 memory. Now then, when I power up the board, the video card counts it's memory(a 64MB GTS) and then it goes to the BIOS screen. There it displays the processor as a Duron at 700MHz and then it counts up the system memory. As soon as it get's done counting RAM, everything freezes and it won't go any further. It will also freeze if I try to hit the "DEL" key to get to BIOS before it's done counting the RAM.

I did call ABIT and the tech guy there told me that I might have a bad motherboard and should call the place I ordered it from to get a new one. I already had one on the way, because I had ordered a KT7-RAID and got the regular KT7. I'm hoping that this new board will fix the problem, but IF IT DOESN'T, what else could be wrong, or what else can I check?

Thanks for any and all help!

I have tried disconnecting the hard drives, and restarting it, tried booting from a floppy, tried booting without any harddrives or floppy drives or CDROM drive connected, but it still does the same thing.

Well, if I could get it to boot past the memory count, that would probably work great, but unfortunately, the computer just sits there and the cursor blinks at me.

Thanks anyways
