Most of my CD's are mostly pre-1996 metal songs, 80's and 70's.

I have some young people visiting and I have to take them around town for a few days as a favor to my sister. My sister ordered me not to play my old ass music in the car and something more "cooler" as she put it....wtf?

Anyway, I need some "cool" car driving high bass type music?

Maybe something like.....

House of Pain ----Jump

Cypress Hill ---- Insane

LL Cool J ----- mama said knock you out

I need some ideas because I only know the older songs:(

lol at thinking House of Pain, Cypress Hill, and Ladies Love Cool James aren't also old. :)

Satriani's Surfing With The Alien was my first thought upon reading the thread title. But then I read the thread body..hmmmm......let's see.....

If the kids are young, they're going to think Outkast is old. The stuff you listed is old as dirt to them, if they've even heard of it.

Speakerboxx/Love Below is a great album. Anything off that.
Dr. Dre -- Let Me Ride (really anything from The Chronic)

For some fun...
Digital Underground -- Humpty Dance
Young MC -- Bust A Move
Biz Markie -- Just A Friend
Naughty By Nature -- O.P.P.

Ok...high bass....is your car properly equipped for major bass?
Can't go wrong with some Miami Bass.
L'Trimm -- Cars That Go Boom (It's fun)
Bass Boy -- Rebel Bass
2 Live Crew -- Throw The Dick (Just to see if they're paying attention)

Every song you listed is ~20 years old...

But, if those are alright, throw in some Pharcyde.

I'd prepare a CD in case they think your music is too old:

- Justin Bieber "Baby"
- Miley Cyrus "We Can't Stop"
- Selena Gomez "Come and Get It"
- Lady Gaga "Applause"

Play it for them and then let them know that the music of their generation SUCKS.

A CD? I didn't think anyone still used those.

I thought about posting that, but realized some people don't have a head unit with usb or aux inputs.

I can't remember the last time I used a CD, though.

Mine has this really odd input, it's a wide rectangle and it's has the flap that opens up. While it looks like you can stick your phone in there I haven't been able to get it to connect. :sneaky:

Look for a two or three CD collection called Road Songs, maybe a promo from Harley Davidson, but not impossible to find. Guitar magazine did a CD 100 greatest guitar solo's.
