Hey all,
I currently attend the University at Buffalo, and I genuinely don't like it at all. As that is the case, I've been accepted to UNC-Chapel Hill as a transfer student.
However, here's my dilemma: If I stay at Buffalo, I will graduate in a year, with a GPA somewhere above 3.8, probably latin honors.
If I go to UNC, I will graduate in two years, I will be in debt 20k more, and my current gpa will vanish with the transfer. I really want to go to grad school, however, and am curious if the better prestige with Carolina will make it easier in graduate admissions. I also would look forward to having a better on campus experience.
Essentially, if I leave, it's going to cost a lot more, but I could gain a lot. If I stay, I will have my gpa, but this coming year will suck rather royally, and that won't be a great deal of fun. What does everyone think? Should I gut it out, or is it worth the cost to get a better college experience?
Gracias,
Me.
