Computer:

I have an Athlon XP 1600+ at stock speed running at 1.75 volts.

I have 5 hard drives,
2 of them are 80 GB Maxtors of model D740X_6L
1 of them a 80 GB Maxtor Plus 9 series
1 of which is a 120 GB Maxtor also a Plus 9
1 8 GB Maxtor

A Enermax power supply that delivers 300W

Both a Plextor burner and a Pioneer 105 burner.

Monitor:

Gem DC-770

What can I do to make the room that they are contained in a bit cooler without pumping up the AC?

I figured the 5 drives combined produced quite a bit of heat rivaling that of the processor itself.

Even if I do have good ventalation in my PC, the heat has to go somewhere.

Pretty much it feels like going outside almost in this room.

You could attach a 4 inch duct hose, like for a clothes dryer, to the case exhaust and send the heat outside.

Set the HDs to power down in Power Management after 5 minutes.

There are "cooler" programs around on the Internet that power the CPU down. OCers use them to get a little higher OC.
