Help me locate proper drivers.

I can't seem to find any sounds drivers for the laptop. I have searched around and a few people are having this problem. I've tried the drivers from HP's site but to no avail. Please help. Thanks.

Do you know what kind of integrated sound they use? For example, if it uses some kind of RealTek audio, just go and dl the drivers from RealTek's website.

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure which integrated sound device is used but there is a little plastic piece that says "Altec Lansing". I'm guessing that this is for the speakers though...

I think you need to install Microsoft UAA driver before the regular audio driver will work. It is a common PITA with the Intel integrated "digital" audio crap.

I LOVE YOU GUYS! THANKS ALOT!

My sound works now. I had to install that Microsoft one prior to installing the regular sound drivers... I did it the other way around 😱.

Again, thanks alot for your time. Good day to you both.
