I can't seem to find any sounds drivers for the laptop. I have searched around and a few people are having this problem. I've tried the drivers from HP's site but to no avail. Please help. Thanks.
Do you know what kind of integrated sound they use? For example, if it uses some kind of RealTek audio, just go and dl the drivers from RealTek's website.
Thanks for the response. I'm not sure which integrated sound device is used but there is a little plastic piece that says "Altec Lansing". I'm guessing that this is for the speakers though...
From the information on HP's website, you should be able to get the driver right from them, just type in the model number of the machine. From what it loosk like though, you have an integrated Conexant HD audio chip, which has a driver available from HP:
I think you need to install Microsoft UAA driver before the regular audio driver will work. It is a common PITA with the Intel integrated "digital" audio crap.
