Here is my problem. I want to download and install Linux (Mandrake perhaps). However, my floppy drive isn't working and I don't have a CD-R. Without a boot floppy or CD, is it possible to do the install?

Thanks,

Adam

Thanks for the link to linuxmall.com 🙂

I don't have a network to do a network install.

Does this mean I need to buy the CD's?

Thanks 🙂

I got my Red Hat7.1 from ..a computer magazine.
Just browse for magazines and see any comes with linux distro cd.
Hmm.. maybe that's more expensive 🙂

Go to CompUSA and shell out the money you get from selling lemonade to get the cd's. RedHat has a box set of cds and I believe a book. And that's not all, if you buy it now, you will, for the next 30 days, have telephone installation support (or email or something I dunno, there is some kind of installation support with it). Moral is, dont be cheap, but the damn things
