I don't recognize the second set of numbers (11797...), but the stepping and production week are part of the last set.

The stepping is CAAZC (never heard of that), and the chip was made during Production Week 01 of 2005 (0501).

Is this a DTR A64? I belive it is

ama3000bex5ar
caazc0501dpmw
1179767a50418

(put the stepping in the proper order as it would normally appear on the IHS. Note that yours is lidless but for the sake of helping you see what it would normally appear on an typical desktop A64 I have re-organized)

Ok let's take this apart:
ama = Lidless Packaged Mobile DTR Athlon 64, Socket 754.
3000 = Estimated PR number... 3000+
bex5ar = Max CPU die temperature and default voltage information (dont know them by heart)

caazc = Typical Clawhammer stepping. FX55s also have this stepping. CAA2C is another
0501 = Read as: 2005, Week #01 / 52 (52 weeks in a year)
dpmw = Factory Code, where your CPU was made and what machine

1179767a50418 = 15 digit Identifier code. These numbers mean a whole lot of things. I honestally wish I remembered what each thing means but I will give a general summary. Somwhere within this are:

Date and Time of manufactuering
CPU ## / Total Number cut from the wafer
What machine cut the CPU
What machine labled the CPU for production
Quality grading of CPU's silicon

Good luck with that. It should do quite well. While no one can ever be accurate with CPU overclock information, I would be awefully suprised if it did not hit atleast 2.5ghz with moderate volting.

Im actually am already at 2.5, My ram is holding me back at 460mhz. I shall keep tweaking though. I'm hitting 87 fps on doom3 ultra quality at 1280x1024. No AA or 8AF. My BFG 6800 GT is set to 420/1100

Looking good. Have you tried running it on a divider or kicking back the LDT multiplier?
