I got a 2200+ Athlon XP chip (full retail) from AMD as a replacement to a faulty 2100+....

Markings are:

AXDA2200DUV3C
AIUCB 0240DUPBW

Now I tried to identify but I am running into discrepancies with the identifiers...I do not want to install it yet so dont ask me to use cpu_z

One site had you type in the markings and it told me this:

Athlon XP (Barton) Desktop Processor (Model 10) 1800 MHz
OPGA Organic Pin Grid Array 1.60 Volt max. Temp. 85°C
256 KB L2 Cache 266 MHz Systembus (133 MHz FSB) x 13.5

Barton core???? I thought a Barton 2500+ was a 1.8ghz. Is it because of the 266fsb and 256kb of l2???

or

Check this!!!

It looks like a Thorton or a T-bred...though my packaging appears to be the brown like the tbred example on that page...

The main thing is that this is a 1.6v vcore chip...

thanks guys....

Looks like it is a Tbred but a very nice 1.6v variety....

I think I will OC this thing and see where she can go...

One last question the how can I tell if the chip is unlocked??? The L1 bridges are clear with no laser burn marks between any of the 11 dots...

It's been awhile but I think:

02 = Year 2002
40 = 40th week in the above year

I don't think the lock came into effect until week 39 of 2003 (0339). Someone correct me if I'm wrong:)

IIRC, I had a 2100+ XP (0242 I think), and it ran smooth up around 2250mhz, so the potential should be there if luck of the draw goes your way.
