Help me Identify the old 1 dollar bill!! need help FAST

At work I am helping someone try to figure out how to identify an old North Carolina 1 dollar bill from 1866. I was wondering if anyone knows a site when I can see if it is authentic or how much money something like that is worth. thanks.

from 1866? That would be post Civil War...are you sure its North Carolina money?? If you had said 1860-1865, it coula been Confederate dollars...

Actually is sounds like a loan or a money order and its not from 1866 its from 1863, the date the 1 dollar had to be paid by was 1866

I sent an email to the treasur of North carolina, I did scan a pic and sent it with the email but that was at work and I dont have the pic anymore, it also wansent mine so I dont have it either
