Help me ID this song.

OK, this one is going to be hard, since I can't remember ANYTHING about the song at all. BUT, I do remember that the same band put out another single a little while after the song I'm looking for. In the second single, there were lyrics something like "As I stepped to the edge, to see my world below... as the tears rolled down". I want to know what song that same band had on the radio before that one

This was on the radio roughly, oh, 1994 or so.
