She's a real estate agent who has been driving camry's for close to 15-17 years now.... She gets a new one every 3-4 years and is FINALLY going to get another car!!! Yeah!!!

What do you guys reccomend?

She kinda short (4'11") so she always liked Japanese cars but shes open to anything right now really...

Her first two choices are a Honda Accord and a Honda CRV, but she asked me for options... What do you reccommend?

She wants to stay around 20k, but will lease, so if the residual is good, of course she could go higher. She hates 'tall' SUV's and HUGE cars.

I reccommended to her to look at the Chrysler 300 but i dont think she liked it much.

What do you think?

don't real estate agents put tons of miles on cars? what is the point of a high residual, if so?

I hear that the Toyota Camry is a decent car. I suggest that she try one of those.

Edit-Kinda short? She's only a few inches taller than a...vertically challenged person.

Seriously, you would recommend a behemoth of a car like the 300 to a 4' 11" Asian woman? That's really bad advice.

I'm assuming she's Asian judging by her height, or lack thereof.

She's not too bad, always under 15k....

Arent lease payments based partially off of residual? Therefore she may be able to get a 30k car at not all THAT much higher of a monthly payment....

A 2000+ Celica (No action package, but with rear spoiler.)

Very nice looking car, very nice ride, fun to drive, great gas mileage, comfortible seating, super-cool interior.

Or a Scion 😛

The build quality on the new volvos is not that good. IMO the new accord is still a bit better. Also the reliability is not very good.

You can't go wrong with an accord really. Since resale is important to her, it'll be really easy to sell the accord later. My parents had an old volvo and they had a hard time getting rid of it.

Acura TSX is a little bit above 20k, but it is worth a look. It is the European version of the Accord and comes fully loaded.

I LOVE the TSX!!!

Any idea around what a 3-year lease would run on that baby?

Dude, your argument holds no water. That was 19 year old car with tons of miles that had turned into a beater.

According to their site, a 3 year lease would run around $400 a month 🙁

Also, I notice people recommending coupes and compact cars. Guys, she is a real estate agent. She will be driving customers around to see various houses. The last thing someone wants to do who is spending several hundred grand is to be jammed into the backseat of a coupe or a compact car; that being said, she will probably want/need a mid-size sedan or a small SUV like the Ford Escape.

Won't realtor be ferrying client around houses too? If thats the case, I won't get anything smaller than the regular 4 door passenger car (Accord, Camry, Taurus, etc).

You're a bastard dude, I'm talking new vs new.

JD surveys and CR articles point to volvo's current quality problems.
