Hey all!

Well I just put together my new system earlier this morning and have been gradually trying to overclock this afternoon.

I'm pretty new to the overclocking game so I'm not really sure what memory settings I should have.

These are my specs:

Pentium 1.6a northwood
Asus P4S533
256MB 2700 Samsung DDR
Antec 350 Watt PSU
ATI Radeon 8500 LE @ (250/250)

I used powerstrip to clock up my Radeon LE to retail speeds and its purring along like a champ

After reading the other threads about the "3 power plug issue" I'm glad to say I didn't have any trouble. Just plugged the regular power connector and the p4 connector (4 pin) from the antec PSU into the board and everything is fine.

I installed windows XP at the default 1.6 speed and default vcore on my rig.

Got all the drivers, updates, etc. installed.

Then I jumped the FSB to 133 and messed around with the rig for a while and everything went smooth.
Jumped the FSB to 140 and left the default (1.5) Vcore alone and played around with it with Serious Sam 2 for an hour or so. Everything Fine.

Jumped the FSB to 150 and left vcore at default. Wouldn't boot to windows.
I upped the vcore to 1.575 and she booted just fine and I've been playing Serious Sam 2 for about 30 minutes now.

I haven't done the jumper "0.2" volt increase that I read about in the manual yet. Should I do this?

Right now I just have my RAM settings set at "Auto" because I'm not sure what is best to use.

Could you guys please tell me what the best memory timings to put in?

And what should I try next? Best course of action?

I'm at 2.4 GHZ right now which I am VERY PLEASED WITH - but I can tell this puppy will do more. And I want to squeeze every last drop of performance outta her.

Thanks

My advice would be to find the highest speed you can OC to while still being stable, then try and see if higher memory settings will keep it stable.
