Help me get the most out of my OCZ pc3200 rev2

Hi everybody, I am fairly new at overclocking, but this is the 3rd computer I've put together & could use a little help. I bought the Asus A8N-Sli premium mobo & 3500 Venice core Proc & OCZ PC3200 Platinum Rev 2 2 x 512 sticks ram. I have trouble getting any kind of an overclock without errors on memtest. I have had it up to 11 x 240 2.5-3-3-7 timings & seemed to run OK but always with an error when memtesting. I have been looking in the forums and get lots of "relax the timings" tips, but what about all the other ram timings that are in my bios. I'm not sure how to adjust those ones. If anybody has any experience with this Mobo/Processor/Ram combo could you give me some tips.

PS. My ram says rev 1.0 so I think that it is the good chips.

I have taken my ram up to 2.9 v which is still supposed to be a safe voltage. Can they tell if you go higher if you fry your ram as my lifetime warranty only covers up to 2.9 v

11x240 puts you in the 2.6GHz range. Are you sure that your CPU and mobo can handle that? How about if you drop the CPU multi down to 10x and set the LDT multi to 3x?

Even if they can or cannot tell if you put high voltages in your memory, it's not a good idea to put more than 2.9v into your set. Your set uses Samsung TCCD and they don't perform any better if you pump the voltage into them.

Can anybody help with all the ram timings in bios. There are 7 I think, & nobody ever mentions more than 4. eg. 2-2-2-5

If you check the 7th post down in the link i posted, you will notice i helped explain the capabilities of this RAM to another user, I also explained what sort of mem timing parameters you can expect with different frequencies. Now you might also find in your case that your motherboard, BIOS, or CPU are impeding your OC.

Lower the CPU and HT multi so that just to test the stability of the RAM with memtest.
