Ok, here's my setup:
MSI K7T Turbo2
AMD Duron 1.3
Maxtor 40 & 80gb HD (7200&54 respectively)
512mb SDRAM
ATI AIW 7500
Nightingale Pro 6
Toshiba 12X DVD-Rom
Clean Reinstall of WindowsXP Pro
--Adjusted for best Performance
--Display is 32" Toshiba - Res. 800x600 16bit
Ok, so, like many of u i'm sure, i have my DVDs backed up onto CDs, however nothing i do can get it to play back smoothly. I originally thought it was my computer, so i've upgraded piece by piece. I've tested the CD's on my Athlon XP1800 Machine & they play fine. This is extremely frustrating as i've replaced basically every item in this computer to try & get it to work.
I've tried using basically every divx player out there, and same thing. HOWEVER, when i play off the Hard Drive it plays PERFECT. So my question is, can my DVD really be that slow to the point where it can't play a divx movie smoothly? Or is there some sort of adjustment i need to make to it?

***(And before any1 flames me, i own every DVD i copy, im doing this so i can keep my original in my home-home, and take the copies to my college apt since my roomates are careless)***
