help me get rid of these C's

ok this is a promblem combo slow windows booting and a bunch of c's following the sound blaster drivers then long pause loading windows I want to remove these c's as nothing follows them and how can i speed up windows loging or booting thanks ok someone else asked me to post my auto exe i thing this is it

No offense, but this belongs in the OS forum, not here in the Highly Technical forum. You need to edit your autoexec.bat and remove a bunch of extra carriage returns - blank lines - that are in there. If they aren't blank lines, then they are actual "C:\" statements. Either way use notepad to edit the file.
 
just goto START-->RUN
then type SYSEDIT
the first thing it pops up is the autoexec.bat
just delete all the blank spaces & blank lines (carriage returns) after C:\PROGRA~1\CREATIVE\SBLIVE\DOSDRV\SBEINIT.COM

you also might want to run MSCONFIG and remove all bullsh!t startup apps to speed up boot time
