It may never go above 2gig. How are you overclocking? What vcore and multiplier/FSB combo?

what is the northbridge stepping on the 8rda+? if you dont know, go get wcpuid and check under the chipset tab

newer boards should be able to do at least 200mhz fsb

for now, until you figure out the northbridge, id say...

multi: 12.5
fsb:166
vcore: 1.7v or so
vdimm: 2.77v
memory timings: 2-2-2-5

i think that would be a safe overclock for now, but just do one thing at a time so you can keep track of things. remember,if you go for a higher fsb, gradually lower the multi. dont try like 200+ fsb at like 12.5. also, please please be cautious when changing voltages. i hope my 'advice' is credible..

post back if you figure out the northbridge or have any problems, and happy overclocking! :)

Gee.

I just plugged in 166 x12.5 and there I was. Same MB. DUT3C Proc.

RAM or PS would be my first suspects if this simple setting doesnt work.

I'm pretty sure that's greater than 2800+....:Q

If you want to go higher, then go higher, but take a note that as you go higher, you will have to give more juice the the CPU. I've been hearing some weird stories lately about TBreds that die with a VCore of higher than +.15 than stock. Kind of like the SNDS, but with TBreds.

If you're at 200x11 = 2.2GHz, then try 210x11 = 2310. Relax your memory timings though because...yeah...just relax them.

what u mean by relaxing the timings?lower the numbers?what do u suggest
anyways, is the vcore, or vdimm too high or its about right?

i just need to know what settings to put in the bios.

DUTC is not the stepping. The letters after AXDA are, such as JIUHB, ARORIA, AGOGIA, AIUHB, etc.

A DLTC chip is better as is has a lower volatge requirement to start with.

yeah, the DUT3C is 1.6v and DLT3C is 1.5v

relaxing the ram timings means setting the numbers higher. lowering them is lowering the number of cycles the ram has to process, making it a little faster.

i thought 12.5 is the highest multi the 1700 t-breds will do.. >_>
try slowly upping the fsb. eventually you'll hit a wall and it just wont go higher, either because of your ram, or chip. what kinda cooling you got on that puppy anyways?

EDIT: just noticed you said you have vcore at 1.85v

:Q

thats still ok, but dont go much higher. i wouldnt suggest anything over 1.85, but 1.9v MAX. dont wanna burn out anything ;)
