The volume control dosent work in WMP with .avi files. Works with .wmv files and music, but not .avi, the slider and mute does nothing. I have an asus xonar U1 and use the k-lite mega codec pack, which seems to open ffdshow audio and video decoders when i play my .avi files in case theres an option in there to solve this (as there are hundreds of tick boxes).
Noone seems to know anything about this anywhere else, its a pretty niche little problem but anyways if theres no solution whats another media player i can use? Because the volume control works with everything else it seems. I need good playlist support (MPC, VLC and GOM player dont have this or at least when i tried them they didnt) and an option to stop the window resizing itsself every time i open a new .avi file. So any suggestions? Oh BTW i use WMP to play everything both music and movies, so a replacement would need to be able to do the same.
