Okay...so my computer randomly crashes and I'm certain it's the video card/driver. Check my sig for specs...I'm running fw 66.93.

Problem 1: Went to my 6800 Ultra properties and it says that the "Location" is "PCI Bus 1, device 0, function 0". What? Shouldn't this be AGP? AGP is selected in my bios! How do I fix this? Here's a pic:

Problem 2: The intermittent crashes. The screen will either go to a 'scratchy' greyish and then give me a blue-screen w/an error @ nv_disp.dll. Or it will look like this or this. What is causing this? I never crash during games though...only when browsing in windows.

Problem 3: Full screen dvd's and HD wmp files don't look right. (Kinda like the above files, but they play okay)

Also, what should my PCI Latency timer and AGP aperature be set at? Could these settings be affecting it? Right now they're at 128 each.

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

Fixed Problem 2/3: now using 67.02 beta drivers

hopefully this will help the rest of the problems.

Any input on pci latency and agp aperature advice?

Is the card sercurely mounted in the case? I used to let my 5900U kinda hang and it would give me screens like in your number 2 problem.

I do have a molex from one of my hd's kinda pushing on the gpu....maybe I'll know that hd down a slot and see if this helps.

Thanks for the advice! :)

leave pci latency alone.

set aperature to half system ram or same as gpu ram depends who you ask!

for your setup id knock it up to 512.

Really? I've kinda heard the opposite--some people have said that it should be either 64 or 128...but no higher as today's graphics card can take the brunt of the memery. BTW, it doesn't even go the 512--it only goes to 256.

Thanks.
