Hi all, I'm planning to build a Haswell rig next month. I own some of the parts and I've grabbed things as they went on sale. This desktop will be used strictly for gaming, so I'm leaning toward Windows 8 for it. I'm buying from the US. I realize it's still early to be planning out this build, but there's still a number of parts I need to decide on. I don't want to make a stupid mistake with part selection on a high end build. Thanks in advance.

CPU: i7 4770K from Microcenter if possible, otherwise Newegg
CPU Cooler: Leaning toward a Corsair H100i.
Thermal Compound: Undecided, Indigo Xtreme?
RAM: Owned, 16GB of GSKILL 1600MHz Memory
Motherboard: Undecided. Looking to spend around $300 with good on board sound if possible.
SSD/HDD : Owned, Samsung 830 128GB and 840 250GB. Assorted 3TB, 1TB and 640GB.
GPU: Owned, Two Sapphire Dual-X Radeon HD7950s
Monitor: Owned, Achieva Shimian 2560x1440
Case: Undecided, leaning toward the Corsair 600t
PSU: Owned, Seasonic X850 Gold
Other: Owned, Lite-On Blu Ray and PowerDVD, Das Keyboard and Logitech G400
Sound: Undecided, I own an old Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty, but I don't know if I should replace it.

Well most of parts that are out now you already have, so really we are just speculating on unreleased products.

I can tell you that you probably don't want to spend $300 on a motherboard and that the 600T is an old design at this point. Something like the 550D is newer and better.

How is the Corsair Carbide series? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811139010

I'm going for a much smaller tower than my current Antec 1200.
