Help me find this case please

Please see:

Compaq Presario SR Series Chassis

I love that case! It has three 5.25" and two 3.5" external bays, which is exactly what I want. But I don't want to buy a Compaq to get it.

There's got to be a very similar case on the DIY market. The front I/O panel can vary, that's not critical. What I don't want is the X-Men slash Transformer slash Power Ranger accents on the front bezel, or the excessive plastic cladding as though it were designed by the same folks who blessed us with the Pontiac Aztec. That stuff would have been cool when I was 16, but that was 17 years ago.

Clean professional case that would look as well in an office or home. Black or beige is acceptable. Thanks!

Try searching the model number on ebay or post a WTB in the the FS/FT forum.

There are probably hundreds of cases that match your description.

www.directron.com has a good selection, even if you don't buy from them it is pretty easy to find a case that you want by looking through their site.

Both Inwin and Antec have 3/2 cases. Just go to newegg > search by category > cases . And fill in the configurator form for 3x5 and 2x3 externals > voila. Unfortunately newegg is none too consistent in writing their descriptions so you often miss some and get some hits that don't belong...
. IAC, you aren't going to get the exact case as it is proprietary to Compaq. As others have said, the CasEdge seems to come closest.
.bh.

The CasEdge looks nice and has plenty of room in the back for a 92mm or possibly a 120mm fan.
But that side air duct looks tacky.

Replace the duct with a case fan. That's what I've done on a couple cases where the duct really wasn't serving any purpose other than being in the way. Or just remove it altogether.
