My 1.6a can run at least 155 fsb prime95 stable with 1 stick of ddr. But it can't even do 135 fsb with 2 sticks. I ran memtest with both sticks at 150 fsb 1:1 at 2.7v with all 11 tests and 10+ loops without an error. But prime95 failed in about 2-3 hrs. I tried raising vcore, still the same. I can try raising vdimm to 2.8v but don't really want to. My voltages looks alright when running prime95, so shouldn't be the power supply.

+3.3V -> 3.26
+5V -> 5.02
+12V -> 11.73

Any suggestions?

I know the easiest way is to run it with 1 stick, but I'm trying to figure out why can't it run 150 fsb when the chip and mem can do it.

so each individual stick will run memtest86 for the same time period?

try turning cache on for all tests:
push the following when it starts up

c-2-3-1-2-0-space

it might also be the board, where it doesnt oc very well with more than 1 dimm populated

have you tried relaxing ram timings?
also, put voltage to 2.8 and see
it wont damage ram, especially if you only run it for a few hours

individually, the sticks will do 400+ ddr 2-2-2-5. The test I ran 150 fsb 1:1 at was with both sticks and at 2.5-3-3-7 already. I also turned cache on for all tests.

hmm...so it might be my board? it's IT7 m2v2.

I'll try test 2.8v tonight.

I have the IT7 Max2 V2 also.There is a weird thing that goes on when you run ram at 1:1 on this mobo.I can't do 380DDR at 2/2/2/7 stable,but I can run 458DDR at 2.5/3/3/7 stable.I was reading in another forum about this issue.I have OCZ 512MB PC3700 one stick.Also,I don't think the memory is as stable with the IT7.I think with 2 sticks its worse.Check out this post.Its pretty long,but it might give you an insight on the problem. I love my board.Its just odd when I run 1:1 suddenly I am not stable anymore with less DDR and a little faster timing.I prefer to run it 4:5 458DDR 183FSB 3.3GHz as I am now with my 2.4B anyways.I'll have to play around with it a little more.The problem is with both IT7 Max and the Max2 board.

Tried 2.8v, still can't do it. Also tried lower fsb with 3:4 ratio, same results.

I guess I have to run only 1 stick if I want higher oc. I checked Evan's review again. He had 3 sticks at 333ddr....hmm....

wow thanks for the advise, the 4:5 works!

ran 120 fsb = 300 ddr and prime 10hr+ stable. Testing 125 fsb now...

125 fsb = 314 ddr passed as well....

hmm...there is some problem with the 1:1 and 3:4 on PE chipset boards? coz I had tried it on the 8PE667 Ultra and had the same results before I tried this 4:5.

just got the time to do more testing...........I can't run anything over 130fsb with 4:5 either.....seems like the board just won't go over 130fsb with my 2 sticks installed.
