Help me find the MFR of this case!

I found THIS super little microATX jobbie and I want to know full details before ordering one.
I'm trying to find the MFR's site on it... I'm not having any luck yet. Anyone give me a hand?
Nice case, eh? 😀

There's a bigger picture of it in THIS forum....

There's been a lot more talk about this in GH.
You didn't look up high enough... PAST the In-Win case to the nice GREY case.
I have reason to believe it's an Enermax - it matches very closely.... just a couple tiny cosmetic differences.

Well you provided a link to a specific section of the thread, so I assumed you wanted readers to look at that picture.

Anitec appears to be out of stock anyway. 🙂 You could email them and ask whether there's a site for the maker.

I like the In-Win better, too.

you like the blue inwin better than the grey Enermax? I guess it's a matter of taste. They're both nice, but the grey one works as a desktop unit too. The blue inwin doesn't - unless you like little rubber feet sticking out the left side.... :frown:

Wheras I find a tower downright inconvenient wherever you put it. It either wastes desk space putting it up top, or gets kicked around taking up floor space.

Maybe it's because I was a computer nut from even before the IBM PC came around. Desktops were all there was - and I still prefer the idea of inserting disks right in front of me instead of having to reach over or under just to access a drive.

But the tower crowd won in the 386 era... people thought they looked more powerful being an obelisk-like tower.
I'll admit, it's *slightly* easier to work in, but you're not inside your computer every day (I hope!) and I prefer a nice computer to use and look at.

I guess I'm one of those people that think function and practicality count for something. 😉
We'll never see eye to eye, I guess. 😛

that is a design very much like the entermax, I was just looking at the entermax cases yesterday probably made by them just under oem name.

That is an awesome looking case. Don't forget us if you find it.

I'm looking for a case to put inside my cofee table and this would work well if I could bare to live with the mATX format

I was all set to get the inwin H500, then I saw this:

ANTEC's new entry into the desktop market

The new antec cases are discussed here:

PCWORLD article on new Antec Cases

The article mentions a new case called the "minuet" which looks like it could fit your needs.

" the Minuet is a mini desktop that is just 16.8 inches deep by 12.75 inches wide by 3.8 inches tall."

Oh and they are not calling the Fusion a desktop case. I guess that is a dirty word. SO eightys!

The new Antec Fusion is a "horizontal unit "

Hey Trikster, which case did you like from that link? The blue In-Win case, or the black n' grey mystery case further up?
The In-Win is an easy find. The other.... ???

I don't like the inwin case.

I don't know why it is just YUCH. Plus I currently have an application for a horizontal unit.

The grey and black one further up looks great. If it doubls as a horizontal (desktop) unit I would seriosly consider it IF it can take full hight PCI and AGP cards. I like that it comes with a 230W psu, a lot of micro atx cases come with 145w or 180w PSUs.

I would like to know more about it. It says it is made by a company called "act" but I cant find an ACT case maker anywhere.

I don't need to build my computer this minute so I'm gonna wait and see what the Antec Minuet and Fusion look like first.

Believe me I'm looking! Enermax is almost bang on, just some tiny cosmetic differences to the outer casing. The 230W PS, drive bay structure and everything is all the same. Not only is it just big enough to handle regular PCI/AGP cards, it also houses twin hard drives on top of the floppy. Very nice difference!

I think my next step is to contact Enermax.

Dimensions of the enermax and this case are differnt though:

Enermax:

From Enermaxs SLOW web site

Dimensions (DxWxH) 370 x 135 x 354mm

This "ACT" computer case:

From Anitecs website

DIMENSION:145(H)X360(W)X345(D)mm

For the non metricaly inclined the "ACT" case is about an inch deeper and .4" larger in height and width. Does not sound like a lot but with a case this small the small difference may be substantial.

Could be just that anitec has a junky ruler or differences in bezels?

Also the Enermax site lists 2 chassis fans but anitec is claiming 3.

DOH

Spent too much time searching for an ACT company that makes computer cases. Then I realzed that:

ACT stands for "Anitec Computer Technology"

Of course they don't make anything, so it's some other manufactuer they are slapping their name on.

And they refused to tell me what brand the case WAS. :| I'll buy from someone else.... though I like how Anitec has so many SFF machines. 🙂

That L545 is a very, very different case.... but a nice one. I'll probably be getting one because it's the best I can find.
