I usually use ammoman.com for my surplus ammo for my Mossin. But, they don't seem to have any outstanding deals right now. Where do you get your surplus ammo? Every spring a few buddies of mine and myself make a trip to a range that is about 200 miles away that allows plinking. I love my Mossin for this, but I only have about 80 rounds left over from last year. It isn't uncommon for us to go through 400+ rounds a day in our Mossin's. :) Anyone who has shot a Mossin before can imagine what your shoulder feels like the next day after 3-400 rounds. ;) Anyway, if you have a site that has some good deals please share. Thanks!

AIM Surplus

Looks like 75 vs 99 for 300 round tins of the Yugo. Shipping cost is going to wash some of that out though.

They also have 800 round crates of Czech light ball FMJ for $150.

Widners.

Wideners has some decent deals too.

Was this just the token "I want a unarmed society because I feel safe in my neighborhood" post?

If so, glad we got that out of the way!

It's really weird, I had the liberal urge to say something but you guys are totally right - we should just stay the hell out of these threads, instead of judging people for just having a different view point. But what is what that little twitch, that liberal desire to stand up for something even though it's pretty silly at the end of the day?

Why must you post this in every gun thread? I already own the guns, so why would I not use them? I enjoy target shooting, I'm not trying or planning on shooting any one. Please go troll somewhere else. There is absolutely nothing wrong with target shooting.

Thank you to those who gave me some links, it looks like ammoman.com may still have the best deal. 300 rounds of late 80's/early90's brass for $99 shipped isn't too bad I guess. It doesn't say, but I'm going to guess that ammo that new will not be corrosive?

Ha, well, I'm an East Coast liberal who got married into a family that includes some Mid-west conservatives/moderates who own guns... I could never, ever judge them for such but.. Come on.. There's always one wacky uncle or nephew that you think just shouldn't own a gun.

I don't really want to thread-jack or start a debate as internet posts rarely ever change anyone's minds, so sorry for interrupting your search for affordable ammo. I'll just add that duck hunt is friggin' fun, and Duck Hunt followed by a duck dinner sounds great. Hunt away! This liberal approves! Not that it matters :)

Usually just best to clean after surplus ammo like it's corrosive to avoid nasty surprises. X2 for eastern European and Russian surplus even if they claim is is non-corrosive.
