Just picked up me new 42" Panasonic Plasma set and hooked it up, plugged the cable directly into the set (no cable box)

I googled and searched some forums looking for HDTV QAM assignments for Cablevision in NY/NJ but can't find any. So far, the only HD channels I am able to tune in are CBS on 110-8 and My9 on 74-109.

Anyone know where i can find an accurate listing of which HD channels come on what QAM frequency?

My Sceptre 32" automatically scanned for channels and did a great job.

For $599 I'm loving it so far.

I saw that already. It links me to a thread with over 1500 posts, and I cant find any one with a channel mapping.

Thanks for trying though :)
yeah, that site is great if you have a weekend to dedicate to reading through a thread. they need to fix that crap. some threads have 5,000+ replies. useless when all is said and done.

Yeah so far it's great, I'll play with it more this weekend. My biggest concern was the QAM tuner but it picked up our local HD channels with no problems. Ok it didn't pickup Fox HD but I just added that channel manually. The remote sucks but otherwise it's a great LCD and I'm satisfied with the price I paid.

So a channel that was not picked up automatically by the TV during its QAM scan was able to able later?
and it came in clear after being added?
how did you know what channel it was?

I plan on getting a Harmony remote, but I saw the remote and it looks terrible. So that's not a worry of mine. But I will have to find some ways to use my Costco membership effectively. All I need to do is get $20 out of it, because I got it to avoid the 5% ($30) surcharge on the TV.

Glad to hear the TV is working well so far. :)
