Also, if at all possible, REST. your body needs that down time.
also, i have found taking a hot bath/shower with those little fizzy Vicks tablets help too.
If i am sick, i rarely ever take any kinds of meds because i hate the way they make me feel.
This really works well too:
Get some fresh lemon juice (from about 3 lemons) heat in a pot with two tablespoons honey and a splash or two of brandy.
Warm the liquid to heat thoroughly and until all ingredients are combind. Drink while hot!
