Help me find my friend a soundcard...

Friend just got some Z5300's, and needs a soundcard that is 6 channel 5.1 capable...

I don't know a lot about speakers or soundcards, but his computer is a Dell Dimension 8200 and has the default motherboard.

Any ideas on what would be the most reasonable card for the computer? (Good price and good quality)

Thanks

The integrated audio is probably more than great for that amateur setup. If you want something better, get an M-audio card for $95+, depending on your budget.

I replied to your PM.

Yeah, that looks good, especially if it comes with the drivebay the Platinums come with originally.

I think an A2zs goes for $60 with a $40 MIR on newegg right now and would be another option if that card you linked to is a regular zs.

SoundBlasters are fairly silly. If all you're doing is output stuff, stick with integrated. If you need an input, go with M-audio, or, if you can afford it, Echo.
