Help me find Compatible RAM

Hello,

I have a computer with an over-clocked Core 2 Duo e6300 running at 2.8GHz and with 2GB of DDR2 RAM (this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820609026)

That RAM is listed as:

Speed: DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Cas Latency: 4
Timing: 4-4-3-8
Voltage: 2.2V

I checked my BIOS and the RAM is at 1.9V and the timings are 4-4-4-12.

I am now looking to upgrade that computer a bit by adding 2 more GB of RAM and I want to be sure that the new RAM will be compatible with the system and will be able to run with the same settings and be stable with the overclock I did.

Apart from being DDR2, what else should I be looking for in order to choose compatible memory? For example, should it be 2.2V RAM or 1.9V RAM? Should it be PC2 6400, or it is OK if it is higher? What about the timings?

Thanks!

I would honestly sell your 2 old sticks on ebay or something and get the 2x2 kit that was linked. You'll probably save like $10 or less (depending on what you sell your sticks for) if you just added 2 sticks but the possible compatibility headaches, extra memory controller overhead, etc. is not really worth it. It may also hurt your CPU overclock (4 sticks can do that.)

I agree with TemjinGold. There is a good risk you're gonna have problems with 4 sticks on that board.
