Help me find cheap 2x2gb memory

I just built a new pc and am running out of memory for the programs I'm running at 4gb. I currently have pc6400 (800mhz whatever) speed memory and need to find a place that sells 2x2gb without ripping you off. My motherboard can support 8gb and that's what I want to get up to. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Hopefully this is in the right place I debated between here and offtopic.

Are your CPU and OS 64 bit as well? You need that for 8GB of ram...

Please don't ask for a "place that sells 2x2gb without ripping you off". Do your own price hunting. :|

Geez Blain wake up on the wrong side of the bed? I have done searches on pricewatch, newegg, zipzoomfly, etc., and I'm just wondering if I'm missing something. If this isn't in the right place all you'd have to say is why don't you post this in *insert forum name here* and I'd be happy to do that. Why is it a crime to ask for assistance? Also yes I'm using XP 64bit with a core 2 duo e6600 and they are both 64 bit 🙂.

2GB dimms are going to be expensive and are likely o be ddr2 667 rather than 800. Your best bet is somewhere like crucial but be prepared to spent a lot of money.

Pretty much the only though I had other than searching Newegg for 2Gb modules. Indeed, Crucial will charge you an arm and a leg for 2x 2Gb DDR2 DIMMs but they can guarantee they'll work with your motherboard and give you a lifetime warranty if it's any consolation.
